            Their name comes from the spanish word "stray". Mustangs are usally wild horses. The mustangs were not one of the indians first horses.

Paint Horse Filly:
  American Paint horses can come in many colors, they have white patterns all over their body.They are descended from Spanish horses brought to the US. Indians used them for war horses.(not the fillies of course!)
